Cloth Physics Simulations: Marvelous Designer to UE5 Workflow

  1. Create character
  2. Design character clothing
  3. Ensure all the us and material for all the clothing is in one image
  4. Adapt clothing to standard a pose
  5. Animate character in iclone including that a pose at the start of your sequence
  6. Export the nude animated character out of iClone to Unreal preset at 60 fps
  7. Import animated character as avatar into marvelous designer at 60 fps
  8. Simulate the clothing
  9. Export the clothing as an Alembic file at 30 fps
  10. Export segments of the animation and name according to frames
  11. Import the alembic into Unreal and apply to the scene over your character
